Hello! My name is Vi and I teach English online from Austria. Besides writing about my cats here on The Traveling Cats and teaching online, I also do other freelance work such as proofreading, editing, and web content writing in English.
For English tutorial lessons, I teach online through Skype. I also offer giving lessons at arranged meet up venues such as the student’s home or at a cafe or restaurant.
Learners: Children and adults; intermediate to advanced levels
Areas: English Conversation Practice (Structured or Free-talking), General English, Pronunciation, Grammar, Vocabulary, Listening, Reading, Writing, Phonics, Children’s English Lessons, Homework Assistance, Test preparation, and more
Teaching Approach: Friendly, student-centered approach, and the use of learning activities that are most engaging to the learner
Online class requirements: Good/clear internet connection, good set of earphones/headphones, microphone, and a Skype account
Other Services: Proofreading, editing, internet research, data-entry, website content management, content writing
Experience: I taught in schools in Bangkok, Thailand apart from doing various tutorial work. In Cambodia, I taught in bilingual schools for two years while giving private English lessons online and at our cafe. In the Philippines, I used to facilitate apprenticeship of college students on board passenger ships for three years, taught Maritime English at a maritime training institute, and taught private English classes both online and face to face with students of various levels and backgrounds.
Certificates/Diploma: I have an internationally-recognized TEFL certificate and a bachelor’s degree. I am also a certified maritime instructor and experienced in teaching Maritime English.
Rate: €10 per hour for online classes. Additional fee may be charged to cover for transportation costs for private lessons at a preferred venue. For other freelance work, kindly contact me with details to request for a quotation.

I offer free 15-minute trial lessons on Skype to evaluate the learner’s level to accommodate further questions.
