My friend decided to celebrate her birthday in advance since she was going to be busy at work on her birthday. What she had in mind was attending a lively InterNations event where food and drinks were part of the fee. On the way however, we got stuck in traffic so we abandoned our taxi and decided to walk to the hotel venue.

We were walking fast along Asoke Road towards Sukhumvit when we noticed the inviting glass facade of May Veggie Home restaurant. We gave up on our earlier plans and went inside. We were actually happy that we did. The food was great and the ambience was good for a quiet conversation. The restaurant’s name also made the occasion more special because it’s read the same as my friend’s name, Mae.
