pasalubong – a Tagalog term meaning gifts or souvenir from visiting family or friends

polvoron – is a crumbly shortbread made of toasted flour, milk, sugar and butter; introduced during the Spanish occupation in the Philippines

Patti Bolhayon Pawid – my sister from whom I got the polvorons and other pasalubong goodies 🙂
