I had a fabulous time in KL with one of my sisters, Patti aka Tata, last weekend. She flew Manila-KL via Cebu Pacific while I did Bangkok-KL with AirAsia. My flight got delayed for an hour, so our flights arrived at almost the same time at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 which was awesome timing. I was having a chat with one of the security officers who approached me in the hall when my sister made it to the Immigration counters area.

We spotted my husband Ronald at the exit waiting for us after we passed Customs. We then proceeded to purchase bus tickets for the trip to KL Sentral where we transferred to a taxi which took us to his rented place in Sri Hartamas.

Here are more photos my sister and I took during our stay.

Second day: Taxi to the Petronas Twin Towers

After taking our fill of the towers, we hopped on a GoKL bus (free-green and purple lines) with no idea where we were heading to. The map indicated the stops and if we did not fancy getting off, we could always just sit in the bus until it was back to where we got on.

Almost everyone in the bus got off at the Starryhill stop. Curious, we did the same. We went in and walked around the Starryhill Gallery Shopping Mall then crossed over to the Farenheit Mall where we bought some souvenirs.

Then we took the next GoKL bus again to China Town and from there, we walked to the Central Market. We met a Filipina who was looking after her aunt’s souvenir shop at the second level of the building. After we bought more souvenirs from her, we asked for directions on how to commute back to Sri Hartamas. She offered two options – to either go by taxi, or take the LRT to Bangsar or KL Sentral then take a cab from there to the condo. And so we went with the latter.

To be continued…
